I have a school band King Sousaphone that rattles when played. It is only a few years old. I have looked for broken solder joints or any loose pieces. I used a borescope to examine as much of the tubing as I could reach. I snaked out the rest of the tubing. Shaking the instrument does not produce any rattle. I can't find any faults but still the thing rattles, worse on some notes than others.
Anybody have any ideas?
