I am told there are few, if any, American made saxes at the student level on the market today.
I am a repairman and a retail dealer.
There are good brand name saxes on the market, but if you can't get the franchise, you have few options.(I also understand Yamaha closed its factory in the US.)
I have also been told by a major conglomerate, they will no longer stock replacement parts for anything more than 2 years old. So the question is: Which company is going to make a sturdy, parts available, student saxophone that will hold up to the rigors of a 5th grader?
Seems to me, my used American saxes just went up in value!
Any ideas, comments, suggestions?

I personally love the Jupiter saxes. I love how they play (I'm a woodwind player) and we have now rented the 767 altos for 3 years, and we haven't had hardly any trouble with them. This is important to us, as we offer free maintenance with the life of the rental contract. Parts are easily obtainable, and while they are not made in the US, they keep tons of parts in stock.
