I've made my own ultra sonic cleaning system using an old tub and a 2nd
hand ultra sonic unit. When other techys use the 'ready made' ultra
sonic units is the liquid cleaner changed each time the cleaner is
used? As mine sits in a tub the solution gets dirty pretty quickly
(despite a quick wash beforehand). What chemical liquid do others use?
Is it a mild phospheric acid solution @approx 2%? (That's what I've
been using) Any input is welcomed! (I live in Australia & don't
have access to the usual range of products that my mates in the USA
& Canada have)
THANKS

I don't currently have the business volume to justify the $$$ to buy a big commercial unit.
I
have been considering rigging up an imersible unit to put in my shop
utility sink. In my small table top unit I've had acceptable results
with just water and simple green or sometimes Dawn dishwashing
detergent.
Can you give us and idea of your setup's volume and power?

Where can I buy a submersible portable UC unit such as you have?
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Damien, I think you are on the right track for the solution. But yeah, it'll get dirty quickly. Our UPC unit has a filteration unit attached, and I use #2 household water filters. There's also a basket filter underneath the tank to pre-filter parts that may go down the old drain tube.
No matter what I do, I still only get about 3 months' use out of a gallon of 132A solution from UPC. If I didn't filter it, I'd probably change it monthly at least.
