What other methods of
tone hole leveling are useful apart from tone hole files and pushing a
tone hole from underneath (in the case of a sax tone hole that has a
gap caused by a post etc in close proximity to the tone hole being
pushed into the body). Rolled tone holes are especially a problem.Any
suggestions?

I occasionally use a prying method. You can use the tone hole
protector/dent rod guide sold by Ferree's or make assorted "pac man"
shaped tone hole protectors yourself. I prefer customizing my own
pieces.
Use the tone hole protector to support some sort of
burnishing rod (highly polished, small diameter). Burnish up the low
spots being careful not to use too much pressure or too shallow an
angle to create new low spots under the tonehole protector. DO NOT
attempt on soldered toneholes unless you have nothing to do for the
next several hours.
Let me know if I need to clarify further.

Jim Thomas hasan AMAZING tool for raising dents from the inside of the
sax. have raised some seriously "wonky" tone holes on a recent project.
It would be worth contacting him for more info......its a seriously
well thought through tool....and will take your dent work to the next
level.
Ciao
