If a case comes in and one of the rivots has come off of the handle or
latch ... can I use a pivot gun with the appropriate rivot or is there
another way to deal with this?
Thanks,
Carmen

If it's a smaller case, I would just rivot it. I especially like the new "banana"
rivots on the market. JLSmith has em, and probably other suppliers too. For
larger instruments, you may need something more substantial, to hold the
weight. I've been known to install a metal backplate under the lining, and
bolt the handle hardware onto that.
Let the weight/size of the instrument and case be your guide.

Larry, do you use a rivot gun to put the rivots into the small case? I have
heard of Mirical rivots, are those the same as banana rivots? Do you use
a rivot gun with these rivots?
Thanks,
Carmen
