I'm doing a repad on the listed horn. What is the right way to polish
the silver and gold plating on this old classic, if the customer wants
that? I'm assuming it's all hand polishing, because I don't want to
take any metal off this old horn. Please include product names that you
use, and where to get them.
thanks a lot!!

I use Happich Simichrome polish for most of my hand polishing. It is
slightly more aggressive than some other polishes I've tried, but will
not leave the work scratched or dulled looking. It is available at some
auto parts stores, or Woodcraft Supply. Many places sell it online too.
It makes relatively easy work out of some pretty tough hand polishing
jobs.

I apply Flitz with a soft toothbrush and then rag the horn with ragging tape.
